Mark Huegelmann

Happy Hands Motor Teacher

Since 2013

Mark Huegelmann graduated from Roosevelt University in 1969 with a degree in English literature.  This is his 12th year teaching Motor classes at Happy Hands Methodist Preschool.  Prior to joining us, Mr. H (Huegelmann) taught Language Arts for 33 years in Orland Park.  He truly enjoys working with preschoolers; he finds them a pleasure to teach and appreciates their boundless energy!  Mr. H says, “I am happy to be part of the Happy Hands staff and to contribute to our quality program.  Developing motor skills is just as important as the skills that are emphasized in the classroom.  Motor goes beyond hand eye coordination.  It works on cooperation and sharing, playing games, and listening skills.”

“Exercise is a part of the skills the students will take with them and use throughout their lives. As the kids develop, it boosts their self esteem… the best part is we have FUN!”
